Altavista Middle School Baseball - Information
 

Basic Information
In the spring of 2009, a middle school baseball team will again be offered for students in grades 7 and 8 in our community.  Our middle school team was introduced to our school in the spring of 2007 and has no affiliation with Altavista Combined School or it's athletic department.  Coaches are not hired through the school system, nor is the team funded with money from the school.  The coaching staff at the high school does assist in some administrative duties, such as passing out flyers to interested students and getting announcements to the members of the team.

The Altavista Middle School Baseball team will compete through the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF).  The league will consist of approximately 15 teams from the Lynchburg area.

Tryouts for the 2009 team:  Tryouts will be held after JV and Varsity tryouts are completed.  Parents must complete a release form before your son will be allowed to tryout.  Tryout dates will be Monday, March 2, and Tuesday, March 3, from 6:30-8:15.
